How to play

  1. Find the slate

    Every game night, @knowballfun posts the slate: the games on and the lock time.

  2. Reply with one player

    Reply to that post with the one player you think beats his own baseline by the most. Your reply is your receipt.

  3. Check the board

    After the final buzzer, results post on X and the leaderboard below updates. Every night counts toward your preseason total.

The rules

  • The Game Ball scoreBeat your own average, and the bigger the night, the more it counts. The exact math: how far your player beats his usual night, plus a quarter of his fantasy points tonight. His usual night is his per-game fantasy average from the 2025-26 season.

  • Rookies and newcomersAnyone who played fewer than 20 games last season gets a flat baseline of 15, so rookies are not free points.
  • One pick per night, locked at tip-offPicks lock when the night's first game tips. Your first reply counts. Edited or deleted replies are void.
  • If he sits, you finish lastStarting October 4: a player who does not play gets the lowest score of the night, so a pick that sits can never win. In preseason, knowing who actually gets minutes is the whole game.
  • StandingsYour nightly scores add up across the preseason. Ties go to whoever has the best single night.
  • What you win: Prove You Know BallFor the first 14 game nights, starting October 3, the top three picks each night win 0.5 SOL + 100,000 $BALL, 0.3 SOL + 60,000 $BALL, and 0.2 SOL + 40,000 $BALL. Free to enter, no purchase of any kind.
  • The volume bonus25% of the previous day's $BALL trading fees is added to that night's SOL prizes, split in the same proportions.
  • Champion bonusThe best total across the 14 nights wins an extra 3 SOL. Top finishers also carry their record and a founding Ball Knower mark into the regular season.
  • TiesIf picks tie for a prize spot on a night, the prizes for the tied spots are added together and split evenly.
  • How winners get paidWinners claim by replying to that night's results post on @knowballfun with a Solana address within 48 hours. We never DM first. Every payout is posted with its transaction link.
  • Fair playOne pick per person per night, from an X account at least 30 days old that has posted something other than game entries in the last 90 days. Picks that include a wallet address are not counted: winners claim on the results post. Alternate accounts and coordinated entries are disqualified. Prizes are void where prohibited.
